SWPPP - SWP3 - Storm water pollution prevention plans as required by the TCEQ TPDES (the Texas version of the NPDES) for construction sites and industry.  The national pollutant discharge elimination system (NPDES) was established by the EPA.  When the responsibility for administration of the program was turned over to the State of Texas, the program became known as the Texas pollutant discharge elimination system (TPDES).  Most construction sites are required to obtain a storm water permit and have a storm water pollution plan in place and available at the job site.  Most manufacturers also have the same TPDES requirements.
